Tried & Tested: Spook-Fest at Aldenham Country Park

Published:

Looking for a family-friendly Halloween day out? We headed to Spook-Fest at Aldenham Country Park for some autumn adventures with our little one, and there were a few moments that made our visit!

Farm fun and tractor rides

One of our favourite parts was the tractor ride! Our little one loved it so much that she was very unhappy when it came to an end — a toddler seal of approval if ever there was one!

We also enjoyed feeding the ponies, although we'd missed the boat with the ducks, who were already full up by the time we got to them. Next time, we'll know to get there earlier!

Spooky seasonal activities

Spook-Fest combines farm fun with Halloween-themed activities, making it a lovely option for families who want to enjoy the season without anything too frightening for little ones.

Alongside seeing the animals, there are activities such as a pumpkin hunt, giant puzzles, mini tractor play, a bouncy castle and a dance tunnel. Selected dates also offer additional activities, including pumpkin picking, the Horrid Hay Tractor Ride and animal experiences, so it's worth checking the programme before booking.

Our verdict

With farm animals to meet, a tractor ride to enjoy and plenty of seasonal activities, Spook-Fest makes for a fun autumn outing with little ones. The tears when the tractor ride ended probably tell you everything you need to know about how much our little one enjoyed it!

Mum's Guide tip:

If feeding the animals is on your list, head to the ponies and ducks early to give yourself the best chance of enjoying both experiences.
