We recently visited this new addition to the local food scene and were welcomed with a lovely atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The music brought such a fun energy to the restaurant, while still feeling relaxed and comfortable for a family meal.

We started with the King’s Platter, which was a brilliant way to sample a selection of flavours, followed by the Highway Dhaba Lamb with freshly made garlic naan — a delicious combination full of flavour. To drink, we tried the refreshing Nimbu Soda, before finishing with a classic Gulab Jamun — the perfect sweet treat to end the meal.

As a parent, I’m always looking for places that are genuinely family-friendly, and GTR by Papa J’s ticked those boxes. There was a high chair available for little ones, the team were welcoming, and we felt completely comfortable bringing our daughter along.

One of our favourite moments was spotting a lovely handwritten note in a book from Papa J. It was such a thoughtful little detail and captured something we love about family-friendly places: the small touches that help create special memories.
