The annual Christingle Service organised by the Harpenden Committee of The Children's Society.

The service is for children of all ages and their parents and carers - it is a candle-lit service that is a perfect start to the Christmas season.. Each child will receive a Christingle, which is an orange, decorated with sweets, dried fruit, red ribbon and a candle. There will also be a short talk about the work of The Children's Society, which is a national charity that runs local projects helping children and young people when they are at their most vulnerable and have nowhere left to turn. It will last for approximately 50 minutes. Donations will be invited for the work of the charity

This December, we invite you to join us for our winter light celebration set against the backdrop of the beautiful gardens at Stockwood Discovery Centre.

This year we have doubled the light trail from 500 metres to one kilometre, with over 20 light creations and a custom-made soundtrack.

Discover Stockwood like you've never seen it before, as you weave your way on a self-guided tour through the illuminated pathways, set against the backdrop of the lush greenery. We have interactive light installations, shimmering disks reflecting the sky, bouncing psychelic colours, colourful animations and sparkly mirrors.

The Doorstep Elves are bringing their sell out show back to Hitchin this Christmas. Welcome to the post office! It's the busiest time of the year! The letters and parcels are piling up high and Rosie Robin is working hard delivering the Christmas Post. But when a snowstorm sweeps through Clover Leaf Wood, the animals must come together to make sure all the mail arrives on time.

Blending puppetry, physical performance and song, this gentle, magical, heart-warming show tells the story of one tiny Robin determined that no one is forgotten this Christmas.

Wheathampstead Parish Council's third season of pantomime from the amazing Chaplins Pantos 4 Kids. The show is specifically designed for children aged three to ten and allows them to dance, jump, laugh and shout at the top of their voices. Join us for one of the Cathedral's bite-sized carol services, taking place on the hour, every hour from 11am until 4pm. One of the Cathedral's most popular events, Carols on the Hour is a fantastic opportunity to belt out Christmas carols and to hear music from different St Albans choirs. This December, we invite you to join us for our winter light celebration set against the backdrop of the beautiful gardens at Stockwood Discovery Centre.

This year we have doubled the light trail from 500 metres to one kilometre, with over 20 light creations and a custom-made soundtrack.

Discover Stockwood like you've never seen it before, as you weave your way on a self-guided tour through the illuminated pathways, set against the backdrop of the lush greenery. We have interactive light installations, shimmering disks reflecting the sky, bouncing psychelic colours, colourful animations and sparkly mirrors.

Herd your family together for a baaa-rilliant Christmas trail at Wrest Park this festive season. Grab a trail map and track down twelve super-sized sculptures of Shaun the Sheep designed by different artists.

The trail runs from Wednesday-Sunday. On weekends until 23 December, you can also get hands-on with Christmas crafts and toast marshmallows around the fire once ewe've found the flock.

We are delighted to reveal details of our annual Family Christmas concert, A Winter Wonderland, which will be on Sunday 14th December, 3pm at Katherine Warington School.

It will feature original seasonal music for Concert Band by Rob Wiffin and Philip Sparke, Nigel Hess's Christmas Overture and plenty of festive favourites!

Admission is free, and a collection will be used to ensure that the Luton and Dunstable Children's ward is stocked full of toys for Christmas.

Join us for a festive evening of carol singing. Doors open at 3:30pm and the service runs from 4pm to 5:15pm, followed by refreshments including mulled wine and mince pies.

The children 0-5 and 5-11 years old will be enjoying their own celebrations in one of the nearby classrooms. Lots of fun, games and prizes! Please sign up via the link below for free as there are limited spaces for the Kid's Christmas Party.
