It’s not long until schools go back- here are a few handy memos of things you might want to get sorted for a smooth return:

✅ Book in to have their feet measured if you’re looking to buy new school shoes and unsure of their size. Beware the summer holiday growth spurt!

✅ Buy any new school and PE uniform- see above regarding unexpected growth spurts!

✅ Check what school supplies you need- the school should email or have a list on their website.

✅ Check important dates and put them in your calendar- if you thought the summer holidays were hectic, wait until you’re back in the world of school events, inset days and birthday parties!

✅ Arrange any additional childcare you need- after school clubs, grandparents, childminders: it’s time to check that’s all in place.

✅ Book a haircut in- tame that summer holiday mop!

✅ Readjust bedtime- late nights and lie-ins might have become the norm over the holidays, but it’s time to start readjusting to early starts in preparation for school alarms (oh how I wish I had this problem!)

✅ Lastly- book in some fun together! They’ll be back at school before you know it so check out the website for some great ideas:
