Have you heard of Babyshed?

Published:

Babyshed is a charitable organisation, a ‘baby bank’ full of baby clothing and equipment for those who are struggling or are in need of an act of kindness in a difficult situation.

At Babyshed we aim to support new families with everything they could possibly need within the first year of the new baby’s life, plus clothing and nappies up to 3 years. We like to be able to provide a little hope and relief in what can sometimes be an overwhelming time.

If you know someone that could benefit from or are in need of help with baby items, then please invite them along.

Our drop-in is on a Monday, 10-12 and they’re welcome to just turn up. Whether it’s nappies and wipes, or the next size up clothing we’re here to help.

If you happen to be having a clear out, and have some clothing to donate, then we’d happily accept- especially larger sizes from 6months+. We ask that everything is in good condition, we use the guideline of if you wouldn’t give it to your best mate, then we wouldn’t give it to one of our clients.

We take everything, from buggies to slings, new bottles to sterilisers, plus wipes, nappies, nappy sacks and formula. If you’re unsure then please send us a message and we’ll get back to you to save a wasted trip!

We’re so grateful for all of the help we receive, and so are the families that come into us. It’s a wonderful community to be a part of, and a real lifeline to so many.

If you’d like any more information then please don’t hesitate to get in touch! We’re based in Stevenage Vineyard Church, on the industrial unit off of Cockerell Close. You can email us at [email protected] or find us on Facebook.
