Hitchin Choices is a youth club for teenagers with Down Syndrome and other special needs; teenagers that are not always catered for in other activity groups. The club aims to equip these young people with the social and other skills they need to give them more choices in their future.
There was a previous club at the same venue and time, but this folded as the funding ran out. The youngsters were all devastated - 'nothing to do' is often exacerbated by special needs parameters.
The only way to continue was setting up a new charity and for the parents to raise funds for this much needed club. These fundraising campaigns have included sponsored walks, cake sales, a virtual horse racing night and the ongoing Christmas Postbox topper campaign.

The Toppers are back for Hitchin Choices second Christmas. They have some different locations this year. This one is in the Market Square (Market Place) just outside Starbucks and contains a very festive Beetlejuice character
They are raising funds for Hitchin Choices. This is a special needs youth club that enables young people to learn social skills and enjoy activities that they are often excluded from.
