Following three successful years in St Albans, OVO's smash-hit, critically acclaimed production of Charles Dickens' Christmas classic returns by popular demand for a fourth season, this time at Hitchin's British Schools Museum. Taking audiences on an open air promenade journey, this is a truly unique festive experience that immerses audiences in the spirit of Christmas past, present and yet to come. This magical 60 minute performance is guaranteed to delight, amuse and move both children and adults alike, and send you home filled to the brim with festive cheer - not to mention our ever popular mulled wine, luxury hot chocolate and seasonal snacks.

The Elves and the Magic Bear at The British Schools Museum

After finding a bag of unopened letters on the countdown to Christmas, Santa's Elves have a big job on their hands to ensure no child goes without a present!  With the help of Mrs Claus and the audience, some singing, dancing, MAGIC, lots of silliness and a surprise guest - will they save Christmas just in time?
The Doorstep Elves are bringing their sell out show back to Hitchin this Christmas. Following the 35-minute performance, every child will have the opportunity to meet the elves, get a nice list certificate signed by Mrs Claus, find their name on the GIANT nice list and take part in our elf crafts. Perfect for all believers aged 1-92, with a special focus on your little ones.
(Please note, the show features a costume character bear! The bear does not go near anyone in the audience and is very friendly!)

Kids Christmas Show at Market Theatre

Enter a winter wonderland this Christmas as the Market Theatre invites you to meet The Snow Queen. We accompany Gerda on her journey to save her brother from the clutches of the cold Queen of the North. But there are obstacles in her way and she will meet characters that are not always sympathetic to her quest. Only with the help of the audience will she stand any chance of succeeding.
This reworking of the legendary and magical tale is aimed specifically at 3 -8 year olds but great fun for children of all ages.

Hitchin Thespians presents...Scrooge the Musical! Celebrate the festive season with a timeless musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol'. Step onto the cobblestoned streets of Victorian London and enjoy a classic tale of redemption, belonging and the spirit of Christmas! Featuring songs including 'Sing A Christmas Carol', 'Christmas Children', 'Thank You Very Much' and 'December the 25th', this production will be performed by the Hitchin Thespians along with some of our Young Thespians. Tickets are £18 (£12 for Under 16s). Hitchin Thespians are an amateur theatre society formed in 1902.

He has one night to search for Snow before he must be back on the tree, ready for Christmas Day. Robot needs your help with the mission; following the clues; making new friends; finding SNOW! All while on an enchanting journey through the familiar sites of Letchworth Garden City.
"Robot's Search for Snow" is a festive theatrical adventure featuring recognisable Letchworth landmarks including, Norton Common, the Pirate Ship and David's Bookshop! The story is brought to life through a charming mix of music, humour and puppetry.
After 3 sell out years at The Storeroom on The Wynd. We have moved Robot to a bigger venue. We will be taking over the central gallery space at The Broadway Gallery and turning it into the most festive theatre space you've ever searched for snow in.
