What's your favourite place in North Herts?

A message from North Herts District Council...

From beautiful countryside views and bustling town centres to hidden corners and local landmarks, every resident has a place that makes North Herts special to them.

North Herts Council is inviting residents to share the places they love as part of Love North Herts - a district-wide campaign to create a lasting record of the locations, landscapes and landmarks that help define our district, particularly as we look ahead to Local Government Reorganisation in the coming years.

Whether it's a peaceful walking route, a historic building, a favourite green space or a view that takes your breath away, we'd love to hear about the places that matter most to you.

How you can get involved:

Nominate your favourite place
Tell us about a location in North Herts that deserves to be celebrated and why it is special.

Contribute to our time capsule
We're collecting items and memories that capture North Herts today, helping to create a snapshot of life in our district for future generations.

Share your photos
Send us photographs of the places you love. They could be featured as part of the campaign.

Getting involved is easy. Visit: https://www.north-herts.gov.uk/news/whats-your-favourite-place-north-herts to submit your nominations, photos and contributions. Every submission will help build a lasting legacy that celebrates the unique character of North Herts.

Submissions close July 12th 2026.

Councillor Sean Nolan, North Herts Council's Executive Member for Customers, said:

"North Herts is home to so many wonderful places, from our market towns and villages to our parks, countryside and historic landmarks. As we look ahead to Local Government Reorganisation, this campaign is a chance for residents to share the locations that mean the most to them and help us create a lasting celebration of everything that makes our district unique. I encourage everyone to get involved and tell us about the places they love."

Help us celebrate North Herts by sharing the places that make it special to you.
