Where to see fireworks displays in Hitchin and beyond

Remember, remember the 5th of November…or somewhere around that date as it falls on a Wednesday this year, so lucky us, there are lots of fireworks events spread out!

This guide details all the fireworks displays I've come across locally in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, plus some larger displays beyond that may be worth travelling to.

Many displays won't have tickets available on the night, so do check details if you need to pre book.

It's also worth bearing in mind that many displays now ban sparklers.

Some events provide parking, but many do not, so please do check in advance.

And finally, don't forget to check full details on events, as things can always change and my information may not always be fully up to date. Please don't travel without checking.

Fireworks & Drone Festival – Halloween Spooktacular at Alexandra Palace, Finsbury Park
Fri 31st October 2025 6-10:30pm and Sat 1st November 2025 4-10:30pm
On Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November, Halloween collides with Bonfire Night as the legendary Ally Pally Fireworks & Drone Festival returns, bigger, bolder and spookier than ever. The sky will come alive with a bespoke Halloween-themed fireworks and drone display, created especially for the occasion. Down on the ground, you can gather around spooky bonfires in the lower field, take a behind-the-scenes ghost tour of our eerie Victorian Theatre, and show off your best costume in our Halloween fancy dress competition with fantastic prizes to be won.
The bonfire night celebrations don't stop there. At StrEATlife you'll dance to 90s garage icons DJ Luck & MC Neat, while the Great Hall transforms into a buzzing bierkeller with Oompah bands and tribute bands: Taylor Swift on Friday and Dolly Parton on Saturday. Down in the Café de Pally, the incredible Rhythm of the 90s will keep the party going with live throwback anthems all night long. For families and thrill-seekers, there's a funfair to explore, ice discos to glide through and over fifty food trucks and bars serving up delicious street food and drinks. With all of this on offer, it's no surprise we're London's biggest Bonfire Night celebration.

Sat 8th November 2025 - Gates from 5pm, bonfire 6:30pm, fireworks 7pm
Bonfire, fireworks, street food & live music. A sparkling community night out!
Tickets: Adults £9, Under-18s £4.
Limited on-site parking £5 with only 15 spaces available, plus 5 Blue Badge spaces free (BOOKED ONLINE)

We are delighted to be partnering with Hartsfield School in delivering this event and hope you will support us in bringing this family fun celebration back to our lovely town! As always, there will be plenty of entertainment, stalls, food vans, fairground rides and more - come and join us in celebrating Baldock! Tickets are £8 each (£10 on the door); doors open at 3pm.
