The sale will be at the Priory School in Hitchin on Saturday 21st March. The sale is open from 1-2.30pm and items for sale will need to be dropped off between 9-9.30am.

As usual, these events are not possible without an army of volunteers to help. If you are able to register as a volunteer to help, we will be truly grateful! - Use the same link to register to volunteer!

There are 3 sessions - sale set up, the sale and post sale - each session is approximately 3 hours.
Remember that your usual 30% commission is reduced if you volunteer for the sale and post sale sessions; reduced to 25% for post sale or sale and further to 20% for both sale and post sale. Additionally, if you are able to volunteer for all 3 sessions you will be sent an extra 20 seller labels. All volunteers will be able to shop at the pre-sale.

What can you expect from one of our sales?

  • These sales are ticketed- which means everything is set out and labelled with a price - you pick up what you want to buy then take it to the till at the end to pay...
  • Prices vary, but items are usually between £2.00 - £6.00 each, more for larger items/branded clothing
  • This sale is for baby and children's clothes and shoes (up to age 12), toys and equipment - with over 80 sellers normally selling up to 60 items, that's over 4000 high quality items to choose from!
  • The sale opens at 1pm - the first 15minutes are for NCT members, but you can come along and join the queue if you are not an NCT member..
  • We take cash and card payments at the tills - it gets very busy - please be patient with the volunteers if you have to wait a bit to pay!
  • There is parking on site
  • You can bring in your buggy, but please note it gets busy, so you might find it easier to bring baby in a sling!
  • We will give you a shopping bag to carry shopping around, but please bring your own bags to take home your purchases!
  • It costs £1 per adult to get in - if you can bring small change for the entry fee it helps us hugely!

All the money raised from our sales goes back to support the branch and the charity with its aims - you can find out more on where money goes, by heading to the site below https://www.nct.org.uk/about-us
