Sleeping Beauty: A Sparkling Panto Packed with Belly Laughs

We were kindly invited along to the press night for Sleeping Beauty at The Towngate Theatre and what a show it was! 

We had a fantastic time from start to finish - the show was packed with energy, colourful costumes, and plenty of classic panto humour. The cast were brilliant and as always, really knew how to get the audience involved, making the whole experience feel fun and interactive.

Our absolute favourite moments were when the cast involved the audience with a water fight and the surprise confetti cannon, which completely caught us off guard and had us belly laughing. 

Overall, it was a fantastic, feel-good panto that had both kids and adults entertained throughout. A great festive outing and one we’d happily recommend to anyone looking for a fun night at the theatre this year! The panto is running until 4th January 2026 and you can get your tickets here - Towngate Theatre – a hub for the arts at the heart of Basildon
