Wallace & Gromit on the Epping Ongar Railway

On Bank Holiday Monday 5th May, Fox & Edwards Events will be joined by Wallace & Gromit at the Epping Ongar Railway near London bringing lots of fun and excitement. There will be steam train trips, vintage bus rides, the chance to see Wallace & Gromit at intervals, and more.
Start your visit at Epping tube station (CM5 9BN) where there is a large car parking (separately managed). You board a vintage bus here to take you to our waiting steam train.
Our vintage steam train will be waiting to welcome you for a journey. This relaxed trip is approximately 13 miles in total.
Every child and infant will receive a book, gingerbread train biscuit, railway activity sheet and juice carton, too!

Nuclear Rookies are fun, pumped-up muddy obstacle courses for 4-14 year old kids of any fitness level
Rookies can test their skills on a specially designed fun 1.5/3km course filled with around 20 kid's sized & guaranteed Nuclear M.U.D! Rookies will climb in & out of the muddiest ditches, scrabble under cargo nets, crawl through tyre tunnels, over ramps, walls & monkey-bars as well as running in woods, on paths & open fields.
Rookies 4-8 years of age complete one lap of the 1.5km course. 9-14 year old Rookies complete the 1.5km lap twice (3km). A grown-up of 4-7 year old's must accompany their child on the course (free of charge & registered at time of booking). Older (9yrs+) & younger children (4-8yrs) can now race in the same wave together.

It's a great introduction to Nuclear Races for your Rookies who are nearly ready to take a step up, or younger kids who want to give it a go on the adult course, all the while allowing you to keep an eye on them and help them where needed.

Journey with us from the Beecroft Art Gallery into the darkest corners of the cosmos, in our free, four part lecture series 'The Science of Space'. Every Sunday in May, a perfect introduction to all things astrophysical!
These talks are accessible for ages 10+. Older children and adults will enjoy the talks, children younger than 10 are very welcome, but some may struggle with understanding the content.
Tickets are free, but prebooking is recommended. Please note that tickets are per person attending the talk. Every attendee will need a ticket.

You have 45 minutes to complete as many of the functional fitness stations back to back as you can with zero running involved. Maximum effort required! The winners who complete the most stations in 45 minutes will receive a trophy and bragging rights.
Starting from the main start line you will make your way to station 1 and work your way around the stations in an anticlockwise direction.
?You will be given a 5 minute warning before the 45 minutes is up and when time is called you must finish the station you are working and make your way to the finish line.

Nuclear Fit is a high energy and exciting outdoor fitness race.
6 x 1km trail runs alternating with a unique functional fitness station in between each run. The fitness stations are all located in the buzzing central arena called The Core. The trail run will includes 2 x 4ft hurdle obstacles.
The fitness race format has been given a Nuclear twist, testing physical strength and endurance.
Come and join us as an individual racer or as part of a two-person team or join the pro wave.

It's all about your Mud Family, not your blood family. We also have a 1.5K Mud Family wave so that you can run with your younger family members.
