As well as Hatfield House itself, enjoy the manicured garden, extensive park, 9 unique shops, busy restaurant, traditional breeds farm and children's adventure playground. The House, Gardens, Hatfield Park Farm , Bloody Hollow Play Area are closed during the winter.

Our car park is now open. You are welcome to enjoy this site, but please stay safe by keeping a social distance of at least two metres and ensure dogs are under close control at all times.Woodland Trust sites remain accessible to the public in line with Government advice and we continue to urge all visitors to maintain social distancing, and ensure dogs are under close control at all times. The car park will be open between 8am to 8pm.

In line with the latest updates in regard to the COVID-19 response in the UK, the cafe and visitor centre at the park will now be closed from Saturday 21st March until we are advised otherwise. The park remains open as valuable green space for the community for independent exercise and access to the outdoors - however, please take in to account Government advice about social distancing while visiting the site. We will provide updates as and when available. Our popular Waterbus between Ware and Hertford cruises along the picturesque flood plains of the River Lee. The River Lee with an abundance of wildlife connects these two historic towns. On route you will also pass through two original working locks. Operating every Saturday* and Sunday* between Ware Town Quay (next to The Priory, behind the Library car park) and Hertfords Bircherley Green Shopping Centre (by Starbucks). Please note this is a SCHEDULED SERVICE and journey times are approximately 75-90 minutes EACH WAY. We operate between Easter Weekend - September. We also run on Thursdays, Fridays and Bank Holiday Monday during August - NO BOOKINGS REQUIRED - TICKETS AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS WHEN BOARDING.
