Advertising Feature by FunnyBones Music Limited
Funnybones Music is a lively, interactive multi award winning music show (45mins approx which includes the return of biscuit time) for children under five (from 6 months - 5 years).
Based around a programme of songs, poems and nursery rhymes, we go on a different journey each week. Combining actions, numbers, colours, puppets, props, costumes and rather importantly comedy. It's a fantastic way for children to learn, gain confidence, learn to take turns/ share and develop their sense of humour.
All new Baby Bones classes have started on Thursdays at 11am during the term time. Same fun, for 0-1 year olds! PAY AS YOU GO! £5 on the door!
AND...
Funnybones Music will be running Summer Special classes on Tuesday 5th & Thursday 7th August and Tuesday 12th & Thursday 14th August 2025.
Please email Rich at [email protected] to book your place. It is £10.00 for one child and £5.00 for any additional children. Older siblings are very welcome, but I would suggest that any over 6 may find this class a bit young. There will be a different funny theme on week one and week two.
Don't stop there though - you can also book a Funnybones Music party for any occasion!
So, why not pop your funnies on, and head over to Funnybones Music to join in some multi-award winning entertainment. Don’t miss out! Believe the hype!
Join in the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge
Looking for activities for your children this summer? Why not encourage your them to join the Summer Reading Challenge taking place at all libraries across Hertfordshire, including at Harpenden Library. This year's challenge launches on Saturday 5th July.
Children can pop into the library any time from Saturday 5th to join. This year's challenge theme is “Story Garden” - where the wonders of nature and the imagination come together.
After every 2 books read, children can return to the library to collect stickers to add to their sticker book and complete the challenge. Your child can borrow and read any books, e-Books and audiobooks of their choice in any genre they like: fiction, fact books, poetry, joke books, picture books and graphic novels all count. And for younger children sharing a book with parents and carers counts. You will find lots of inspiration in the library and on the Summer Reading Challenge website.
Children who read 6 books and complete the challenge by 6th September will receive a certificate and medal.

"We have 3 grandchildren who really love going to Funnybones. Rich who runs it is such an enthusiastic, creative and likeable character amongst both the children and adults. There is never a dull moment between music, singing and dancing around. Each week there is a different theme which makes the class all the more interesting. Rich really brightens up our day and we would not hesitate to recommend him. Grandparents John & Pauline "
"Funnybones is a highlight of our week and a class which both children and adults equally enjoy! The class is really engaging for children - my 3 year old son has loved it. Rich is brilliant with children and a genuine lovely guy too! I feel lucky that we found this class as it is refreshingly different from most other toddler/pre-school classes on offer."
"My son and I love coming to the classes every week. The classes are very thoughtful and child appropriate. It encourages independence, imagination, fine motor skills, and so much more. Natalie and Rachel are so lovely and knowledgeable in child development they really put so much thought on each class. I highly recommend to try Art room."
