Harpenden Food and Drink Festival
High Street & The Common

This event has grown to become one of the Town's most popular festivals, bringing a wonderful carnival atmosphere to picturesque Harpenden. Showcasing the very best of food and drink, including street food, outdoor bars, market stalls and entertainment. Residents and visitors can look forward to a vibrant day suitable for people of all ages. Thousands of people are expected to attend the Food and Drink Festival which will be situated across the Town Centre and Harpenden Common.
The Festival will include outdoor bars and street food, community seating areas, market stalls, funfair rides, DJs, street entertainment, and a live Music Stage with performances by James and the Blue Moon and Faces Fall.
The Children's Zone is always popular and this year includes Jumping Beans Soft Play, Sand Art, Crafts from Artshed, The Mayor's Bears, a children's entertainer and more.
In addition "The Bug" an iconic VW DJ Van will be playing summertime music. Plus "Culinary Capers" a culinary themed show will have audiences spellbound, as Ian Marchant- clad in chef's whites- performs feats with fruit, shows versatility with vegetables, launches legumes, chucks crockery, balances baguettes and displays plenty of daring deeds with dishes. The Harpenden Beer Festival, hosted by The Plough and Harrow and The Engineer pubs, is a fantastic addition to the day and will be situated on Harpenden Common. With over 50 real ales, perries and ciders. Further information is available on the Town Council's website. www.harpenden.gov.uk
