Toddler World at Hatfield Leisure Centre – what a win for summer fun!
Took my 5, 4, and 18-month-old and honestly… they had the BEST time! 🥰 From bouncing and climbing to crawling and giggling non-stop, it’s the perfect space for little ones to burn off some energy.
The inflatable area is huge, colourful and so clever — really encourages imagination and creativity while they play. 🚀🦄🏰 Whether they were pretending to be explorers, jumping over lava or just tumbling around, they were totally in their element.
Toddler world is designed for children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years; however, older siblings seem to love it too! It is under £5 per child for an hour of fun and adults go in for free.
If you're looking for something fun, active and totally toddler-approved this summer, Toddler World at Hatfield Leisure Centre is a brilliant option. I took my 5-year-old, 4-year-old, and 18-month-old along recently and they had the best time — I honestly couldn't get them to leave!
The whole space is bright, colourful and packed full of inflatable fun. There’s a huge bouncy castle-style setup that includes slides, tunnels, soft play blocks and climbing areas — perfect for little imaginations to run wild. 🦄🏰🚀 My two older ones were zooming around pretending they were on a magical adventure, while my 18-month-old had just as much fun exploring at her own pace and clambering over the soft shapes.
What I loved most was how open and spacious it felt. Despite being indoors, it didn’t feel cramped or overwhelming. There’s plenty of room for little ones to move freely and safely, and I noticed how confident and independent they all became as they explored. It’s such a great way to support physical development and creative play without it feeling like structured "activity time."
And the best bit? It’s running all summer long! So whether you’ve got a rainy day to fill, or just want to get out of the house without heading to a park (again), it’s a fab way to spend a morning or afternoon. You can book online via the Hatfield Leisure Centre website — I’d definitely recommend checking the timetable before you go, as sessions can get busy during the holidays.
It’s ideal for toddlers and preschoolers, but my 5-year-old loved it just as much. A rare find that suits a wide age range and gives them all a good run around (while you can enjoy a well-earned sit down nearby)!
Over the summer they are running exclusive sessions from Fridays to Mondays and specific dates can be found online. The normal dates during term time and over other holiday breaks are Tuesdays and Thursdays during the day. Book online through the website or in the soft play button on the Better app.
They also do birthday parties for little ones!!!!!
