Aldenham Country Park is a not-for-profit farming, food, Rural Care and education enterprise. We aim to enhance the countryside, care for wildlife and farm ecologically. We are open everyday from 9.00am except 25th December. Visit 100 acres of beautiful countryside, only 12 miles from central London. Enjoy the scenery, lakeside walks, explore the farm and feed the animals, playgrounds, pony rides and 100 Aker Wood, home of Pooh Bear and friends. Enjoy great value all year round access by becoming a member. We offer camping, exclusive glamping and facilities for families with SEND children in our pavilion. We offer extensive education and group trips, parties and celebrations for all ages, team building and meetings and have an events field for hire. We have a small farm shop selling produce from our farms here and at Church Farm and a Farm Kitchen where you can sit down for coffee and snacks as well as a refreshment kiosk.

With the recent events, we have made some changes to make you feel comfortable, but with fun and joy at the heart of our planning. On arrival you will be given a fun, timed agenda for your activities, with a tick sheet for the children to tick them off. We have adjusted our usual process slightly to help our wonderful visitors to feel happy and able to social distance during the magical experience. Your train time selection is the start of your adventure and leads you through a wonderful journey of all our activities, which ends with unlimited time in our spacious picnic field, with our brand-new adventure play equipment. Children are very welcome at Aylett Nurseries! The whole site is pushchair friendly, with no awkward stairs to navigate. Many of the areas you may want to visit are covered up or are indoors, so your young ones won't get cold. Seasons Café offers a children's menu. The Celebration Garden is open all year and is a great place for children to explore. The Bishop's Stortford Museum is housed in the original Victorian building which was the birthplace of Cecil Rhodes, financier and founder of diamond company De Beers. The Sculpture Trail is short and ideal for families with small children in buggies and wheelchair users but many other, longer walks are waymarked with coloured stripes to cater for the more energetic. This is a sandy beach with a children's tidal swimming pool overlooking the Thames Estuary. There are some shops and cafes along the seafront.

Built in the early 1970s the Park has over 20 acres of open water across four linked lakes. The park also has 2 equipped children's play areas, water play facility, showground, woodland, grassland, section of town-wide horse & pony route, sailing centre and cafe, orienteering trail and trim track.
