The one-metre-tall SSOHC Sprites are visiting us from SpriteWorld, magically appearing in Hertford though the portal in the town’s Salisbury Square.
Arriving through the Vortex, packages from Sprite World get sorted in the Sprite World Warehouse, then onto the Office to be addressed andstamped, to get ready for dispatch from the Logistics Department. The SSOHC Sprites are really busy in the Portal, working out which games are togo where.
On the wall of the Sprite Office, there is alist of where each game is destined to go in Hertford. This list is also available via the SSOHC website and social media. All the fun and games are within walking distance of Salisbury Square, albeit it in different directions! SSOHC Sprites are brilliant at organising and having fun, but definitely need to improve their spelling!
They have some wonderful Sprite-sized equipment to help them at the Portal, including a fork lift truck and a Penny Farthing. There are 15 super-scale games across Hertford Town, each being enjoyed by wonderfully coloured woolly SSOHC Sprites. Each cheeky SSOHC Sprite has given themself a festive name, including:FruitCake, Bucks Fizz,Satsuma, Sparkle,MulledWine, BrusselSprout,Frosty, Quality Street, Pink GinandPoinsettia.
The aim of SSOHCis to bring joy, engender community spirit and fundraise for local charities. Our chosen charity this year is Mudlarks Community Garden.
We are pleased to have a collecting licence so we can sell little crafted items on our stall in Hertford’s Salisbury Square, every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 2nd December to 19th December, 10am-3pm.This enables us to raise more funds for Mudlarks.
