First Published: 2nd September 2025

Is your child interested in computers and coding, but don't know where to start?  You can get free access to Fiero Code if you are a member of Hertfordshire Libraries.

For children aged 8-18, and suitable for beginners through to more experienced coders, Fiero Code helps children learn coding to build websites, video games, and apps using languages such as Scratch, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python and SQL.

To use Fiero Code, log in via the library website.  Then enter hertsb + your library card number to create a free account with Fiero Code.

If you are not already a member, pop into Harpenden Library to find out how to join.  Then you and your family can enjoy this and more free resources including access to eBooks, as well and online newspapers and magazines, Theory Test Pro, for those preparing for their driving theory test, family history resources and online music.
