The Art Room is a creative, inspiring and nurturing space in Harpenden for children to develop their love for art. Our weekly sessions provide a calm and positive place for children to create, and most importantly have fun!
We help our young artists enjoy art in its many forms, by exploring possibilities, persevering with their ideas, encouraging their peers and celebrating their work, while helping them manage their wellbeing by taking time out from a fast-paced digital world.
Our classes are led by Art enthusiasts, Natalie and Rachel, both local Harpenden Mums who have an array of creative and teaching experience including roles at Tate Britain, The Little Square Gallery, Roundwood Primary School and Artisans Kindergarten.

It's that time of year again! Just as the children return and the new Year 7 intake settle in to their new school, the application process for children in Year 6, due to start at secondary school in September 2025 opens on Monday 2nd September 2024.
The closing date for applications is Thursday 31 October 2024 and before then you can take the opportunity to visit the local schools. You can find a list of all the Open Evenings on our website.
Please note in particular that the Open Evening at Roundwood Park School will be ticketed, and tickets will be made available from mid-September.
