After 14 years setting up and running Mum’s guide to Harpenden, we have decided that the time is right to hand over the reins to someone else. Our children are grown up now, and we feel that for the site to continue to provide the service it does for local families and businesses, as well as grow and thrive into the future, it would benefit from the fresh perspective of a new site manager.
So, we are looking for an individual (or a duo/small group) to take over. First and foremost you have to live in Harpenden, love everything it has to offer for families, and be enthusiastic about knowing what’s going on and keeping up to date with family-related news, businesses and services. You don’t have to be a mum (dads, non-parents or mixed groups are welcome to apply) but we do think that being a parent or carer of young or younger children means you’ll knows best what local parents are looking for, and understand the benefits of having a site like Mum’s guide to Harpenden at your fingertips, just as we did all those years ago. Good communication skills are essential, and of course, some spare time to fit it in!
We have loved running Mum’s guide to Harpenden all these years, and this has not been an easy decision to make, but the time is right now. We’re not going away completely, we’ll continue to manage the Mum’s Guide To brand, overseeing all of our sites as we do at the moment, and we hope that whoever takes it on will get as much out of it and find it as rewarding as we have.
