Knotted Mermaid Macramé Workshop
Southern Maltings
Wed 29th May 2024
1pm
Join local macramé artist Macramé Mummy Becky, for a fantastic day of mindful making.
Summer is nearly here (honest!) and with that we bring you a wonderful, swimmingly creative Macramé Workshop.
Becky has split the workshop into two parts that can be worked together or separately.
Today's workshops focus on practicing all the basic (and some not so basic) macramé knots for a skills uplift!
In the afternoon workshop, our young artists will learn some new knots including the Gathering Knot and the Half Hitched Knot to make Beautiful Mermaid key chain or bag charm.
The mermaid can be attached to the Seascape Hanging for extra visual effect or can be taken off and attached to a bag, purse, door (the list is endless!) Wherever you place it, the colours and design are striking and will be commented on!
Kits containing all the twine and accessories needed are included in the price. Workshop attendees with walk out with a gorgeous sea themed wall hanging.
Grab a couple of mates, enjoy a full day of mindful craft or just a couple of hours, and take away some beautiful macramé decorations for yourself or gifts for your friends and family.
Additional Information:
This workshop is aimed children between the ages of 7 and 12 years of age, but older children are very welcome too. This is a drop off workshop as our tutor is fully DBS checked.
