Wilderness Weekends, delivered by outdoor education provider Camp Wilderness, will take place across three weekends between Friday 14th August and Sunday 30th August 2026.

Camp Wilderness is a UK-based provider of outdoor education camps for children and families. Its back-to-basics, back-to-nature experiences are designed to help young people spend meaningful time outdoors and step away from technology while building practical skills through immersive activities.

Set at the start of Hatfield Park's Woodland Walks, the Wilderness Weekends activities give young visitors the opportunity to try practical, nature-inspired challenges in the Park's woodland surroundings. Children can make their own paracord bracelet to take home, and those aged eight and above can test their aim with archery and tomahawk throwing under expert guidance.

Activities will run from 11am to 4pm over:
- Friday 14th August to Sunday 16th August
- Friday 21st August to Sunday 23rd August
- Friday 28th August to Sunday 30th August

All Wilderness Weekends activities are included with a Park and Gardens admission ticket, giving families the chance to combine an outdoor adventure with a relaxed summer day out exploring Hatfield Park and Gardens.

Adult Park and Gardens admission is £17, and child admission is £8.50. A family ticket is £42 for two adults and up to four children.

Hatfield Park offers a memorable day out for all the family, with the historic Hatfield House, the Old Palace, beautiful Gardens and expansive Parkland to explore. Visitors can also enjoy on-site dining and independent boutiques in the Stable Yard.
