We are an independent family run business with a passion for fresh, seasonal, homemade food. Street Cafe serves locally sourced food and coffee.

The Aldersgate Café is open every Tuesday morning from 9.30am to 11.30am, and serves freshly brewed coffee and homemade cakes. Tea and chocolate are also available, as well as a selection of Fair Trade juices and biscuits.

Whether you are on your own or with a group of friends the relaxed and laid back environment is an ideal location for a early morning breakfast, mid morning coffee and cake or a fantastic lunch. We are also fully licensed so you can enjoy a lovely glass of wine or bottled beer with your meal.

Welcome to The Waffle House, located within the 16th Century, Grade II listed Kingsbury watermill overlooking the River Ver in St Albans. A family business since 1978, we specialise in sweet and savoury Belgian waffles individually cooked to order with many organic and free-range ingredients.

We are extremely passionate about producing great tasting coffee and are always here to help guide you and find the right tools and techniques to brew the perfect cup of coffee for your business or home. All our Coffees are available as beans, or freshly ground for cafetiere, filter, espresso, French press or Turkish coffee.
