St Albans Library during Lockdown


During lockdown St Albans Library is only open for:

  • Returning books
  • Collecting Ready Read packs and reservations

Public computers are not available.  

Overdue fines on loans were suspended from 20th December.  These will be reinstated from 11th January.

The library is open at the following times:

Monday: 10am - 5pm
Tuesday: 10am - 5pm
Wednesday: 10am - 5pm
Thursday: 10am-5pm
Friday: 10am - 5pm
Saturday: 10am- 4pm
Sunday: CLOSED

Ready Read packs can be ordered online. As well as packs for adults, packs are available for children of all ages including teenagers. Select the age range of your child and indicate genres of interest and staff will do their best to pick a selection of books to suit, subject to availability.  You can also continue to reserve individual books for collection.

If you or members of your family are not already members of the library you can still join online during lockdown.
