Sketch the colourful and vibrant Northern Lights using a variety of pastel techniques! Join us with tutor Elena Russu to draw this colourful phenomenon that has lit us the night sky so much this year.

In this workshop our tutor Elena will demonstrate how to work from photographs of the northern lights, looking at composition, form and colour.

After a short introduction to herself and each other, she will show different type of composition.
Elena will demonstrate different tricks and techniques to use pastels and pencils, and talk about colour, how it can be mixed and the use of white for highlighting and adding depth and adding interest.

Get your crafting in at Southern Maltings this Autumn.
