In this fun and creative one-hour workshop, children aged 8-12 will discover the art of block printing while designing a colourful fabric flag featuring a bold letter that appears to pop out from behind their printed pattern. Inspired by flowers, leaves and decorative motifs, young artists will experiment with different printing techniques before creating their final piece. You will practise printing first, on a piece of cotton, to learn the right techniques using a small sponge or dabber. You will then choose your colours and your blocks to create your masterpiece.

Fruity Fabric Fun: Stamp & Sew Your Own Cushion!

In this exciting multi-technique workshop, young designers will discover the magic of textile art by turning real fruit into custom stamps.

They will learn how to block print vibrant patterns using colourful fabric paints directly onto a cotton Calico.

Once their unique masterpieces are dry, they will transform their printed fabric into a beautiful mini cushion! Mastering the traditional backstitch hand-sewing technique.

African Batik - Ocean Collage. Dive into the vibrant world of traditional African batik art! In this hands-on workshop, you'll discover a range of cultural patterns and learn modern alternative batik techniques.
