Learn all about Bees Workshop
Southern Maltings

Join us and Barbara from Amber Bees at our Sustainability Market to learn all about Bees.
Our stripy furry friends are amazing!
Barbara from Amber Bees knows everything about these little creatures that are so important to our ecosystem.
This 45 min workshop is aimed and children and their parents and carers. Barbara will teach you about every aspect of bees and their lives. You will get to taste some honey, try on a bee suit and do some bee themed craft and colouring.
Come and share her passion and then go home and make your garden bee friendly too with her tips.
We are running two 45 min sessions at 10am and 2pm.
The sessions are designed for families, and children to be accompanied by an adult. A fun introduction to bees, honey and sustainable gardens.
This family session can hold up to a maximum of 10 participant groups and costs £2.50 per ticket. One ticket is required per child and adults are free. Suitable for children ages 3-10 and their parents/ carers.

The workshop will be held in our Malt Garden.
This workshop is part of our Sustainable Market running from 10am - 3pm where we are showcasing ideas and local charities and businesses who will help you on your journey to sustainability. Other workshops include 'Beginner's Bike Maintenance' from Highway Cycles, Hertford, Make a Beach Bag from an old Towel, and Adult and Family Upcycling sessions.
Southern Maltings is the trading name of Ware Arts Centre Limited and is a registered charity (Registered charity no. 276998). All events are run by volunteers and proceeds go towards developing the Southern Maltings into an amazing creative arts centre which will enable us to put on a wider and more frequent range of events and activities for the whole community.
