The Mayor of Harpenden's Christmas Card Design Competition has launched!

Children aged 4-11 are invited to design a Christmas card based around this year's theme "Winter Wonderland".  The winner will have their design used for the Town Mayor's Christmas Card and will be invited to turn on the Town Christmas lights at the Christmas Carnival!  PLUS, thanks to the Eric Morecambe Centre, they will receive four tickets to see this year's pantomime, Sleeping Beauty.

Cards should be designed on A4 paper, with name, age and school on the back.

Please deliver or post to: The Mayor's Secretary, Harpenden Town Council, Town Hall, Leyton Road, AL5 2LX by 8th November.

Secondary School Admissions 2025

It's that time of year again!  Just as the children return and the new Year 7 intake settle in to their new school, the application process for children in Year 6, due to start at secondary school in September 2025 opens on Monday 2nd September 2024.

The closing date for applications is Thursday 31 October 2024 and before then you can take the opportunity to visit the local schools.  You can find a list of all the Open Evenings on our website.

Please note in particular that the Open Evening at Roundwood Park School will be ticketed, and tickets will be made available from mid-September.
