Rothamsted Park covers 23 hectares and provides a home for many of the town's sport and recreational activities including a skate park, play areas, floodlit courts for tennis, netball and 5-a-side football, cricket squares, several football pitches, and the Leisure Centre. However, it is also the place for a gentle stroll, a dog walk or a quiet picnic and cultural activities at the Eric Morecambe Centre such as exhibitions and concerts. Paid parking on Amenbury Lane. Some free parking available on Leyton Road.

Ruislip Lido, a 60-acre lake with sandy beaches and a narrow gauge railway around it, is set on the edge of Ruislip woods.

The beach at Ruislip Lido is open, but swimming is not permitted.

Take a walk through the woodland, heathland and grassland. Enjoy the view of the heronry. Dogs are welcome. Bring your bikes and enjoy the trails (Permits are required). There are play spots across the site. Some of the paths are suitable for wheelchair users.

Once a private Estate known as Porters Park, then a site of a Mental Hospital, Shenley Park is now a unique self-funded Park for all. The Park is steeped in history and hosts an Orchard, Meadow, Woodland walks, Historic buildings and an amazing 2 acre landscaped Walled Garden with an Amphitheatre. Play area, walks, tea rooms. With the second largest area of unimproved chalk grassland in the county, Tring Park is one of Hertfordshire's most important habitats for wildlife. Take a stroll through meadows of lady's bedstraw, yellow rattle, saxifrage and salad burne in summer, and see how many butterflies and other insects you can spot. Vanstone Park is an independent family run garden centre with 46 years trading. Within the grounds are: The Greenhouse Café, Car wash, King Acre Landscape Centre, Simply Dogs (Grooming) & Country Tipis (Wedding events). Weather Permitting there is a miniature woodland railway working weekends and during school holidays.

Explore this beautiful National Trust French Renaissance style chateau and grounds. There are Victorian style gardens, rare & exotic birds in the Aviary, a woodland playground, a Trail to follow around the gardens, a woodland walk and children's activities on during school holidays. There are also restaurants, cafes and shops to enjoy once you've finished exploring!
