Rothamsted Park covers 23 hectares and provides a home for many of the town's sport and recreational activities including a skate park, play areas, floodlit courts for tennis, netball and 5-a-side football, cricket squares, several football pitches, and the Leisure Centre. However, it is also the place for a gentle stroll, a dog walk or a quiet picnic and cultural activities at the Eric Morecambe Centre such as exhibitions and concerts. Paid parking on Amenbury Lane. Some free parking available on Leyton Road.

Ruislip Lido, a 60-acre lake with sandy beaches and a narrow gauge railway around it, is set on the edge of Ruislip woods.
The beach at Ruislip Lido is open, but swimming is not permitted.

With the second largest area of unimproved chalk grassland in the county, Tring Park is one of Hertfordshire's most important habitats for wildlife.
