Visit our great little award-winning Museum, situated in the Buckinghamshire village where Roald Dahl lived and wrote for 36 years. The Museum, aimed at 6 to 12 year olds, features three interactive galleries. Boy gallery looks at Roald Dahl's school days while Solo gallery houses his original Writing Hut. The Story Centre puts your imagination centre-stage with fantabulous activities to inspire the writer in you.

The Royal Gunpowder Mills is a great place for families to spend days out exploring the secret history of gunpowder, explosives and rocket propellants through our engaging interactive Exhibitions, Science Shows and Children's Activities. Includes Mad Lab, Rocket Vault, The Armoury, Mini and Narrow Gauge Railway, Playgroud, Woodland walk, exhibitions and more.

Step into the world of renowned playwright George Bernard Shaw at Shaw's Corner, his much-loved Edwardian home in the picturesque village of Ayot St Lawrence. Now cared for by the National Trust, the house remains much as Shaw left it, with personal belongings, books and fascinating reminders of his life and work.

The museum offers birthday parties, monthly under 5s sessions, holiday activities and free family Saturday arts and crafts once a month. It's free to visit but we do charge for some activities.
