"Mish Mash music has been absolutely amazing for us. It's been consistently the favourite thing for both my children. 1. The music. Ruth writes her own music. It's enjoyable and refreshing to hear new material in the kids music genre. Plus some of the songs are really beautiful. The CDs are super helpful for car journeys too. 2. Learning to use such a wide range of musical instruments has been so enjoyable for my children and they continue to be keen to make music. 3. Ruth is brilliant at dealing with different personalities and it really helped my shy children to come out of their shell. She's super kind and good at understanding people. Both my children still hope to 'go to Mish Mash!' on inset days. 4. It's not why we did Mish Mash classes: but meeting like minded people has been an added bonus. We've been holiday with our Mish Mash friends and still have group play dates and adult get togethers. Thanks Ruth, meeting you and doing Mish Mash has been one of the best things about having our young children in St Albans! "

"We first attended virtual Mish Mash classes during lock down when Marcus was 6 months old and we really enjoyed them. He is very musical so being able to return to Mish Mash now in person has been a great experience as Ruth is very engaging and makes the classes fun with the amazing music followed with all the different instruments. We love listening to Mish Mash music in the car and there's not a day that goes by that Marcus doesn't sing or hum the songs from the class. It's one of the classes that he really enjoys and we will really miss attending them when reception starts in September. "What an incredible class! Mish Mash truly is like no other as a result of Ruth's passion for music and love of sharing that passion with children. I have been lucky enough to be part of Mish Mash for a long time, starting when I had a 2 year old and new born in 2018. I found it one of the only classes that truly caters for parents of mixed ages and it was great. Then I rejoined Ruth virtually during 2020 with my then 4yr old, 2 yr old and newborn during the various lockdowns which was a great connection with the outside world. Then back in person since 2022 and sadly about to have our last class. I have to say it has been our favourite class of all that we have done and we are definitely going to miss it but will keep playing Mish Mash music at home!! "

"Mish Mash is a wonderful, friendly and welcoming baby/toddler music class. I did the older class with my just turned 2yo in early 2022, and it really helped solidify his love of music - he absolutely loved the ukeleles in particular. It's great how the children can explore and play with so many instruments throughout the class. I started again in the younger class with my 1yo last autumn, and it has been fantastic to see my daughter grow into a little toddling 17mo who can sit on the bongos next to Ruth, drumming away! Ruth is a really engaging teacher with a real talent for music and negotiating toddlers with all her amazing musical instruments. I also really appreciate the flexibility, for example, if you're ill or away one week, she will try and fit you in to another class, or you can give your space to a friend. I also was able to bring my 2mo daughter along when I did the class the first time round with my son."

"Being an Early Years Teacher, understanding the importance of music and movement for my little one gave me high expectations for a paid class… these expectations were exceeded for sure! Ruth clearly has a passion for music and child development, she is super engaging (children and adults) through her session delivery with singing and playing lots of instruments too. There are always plenty of resources for the children (and adults) to get involved with in their own ways and this is openly encouraged. I also like the opportunity to socialise after the session has finished in the class and beyond as the venue makes this easy to do. My little one and I look forward to the weekly session and enjoy sharing the songs from the session at home and in the car. I would totally recommend Mish Mash to anyone who is looking for a unique musical experience for their little ones. Thanks again Ruth! :D"

You can tell Ruth is passionate about music and has a great talent for creating fun and interactive classes that allow children and babies to explore sound and expression through music. The 4yr old I used to take was always encouraged to be confident and expressive and the 8month old I look after now is mesmerised and enjoying dancing and exploring the accessories. Very welcoming classes and we really look forward to coming every week! Highly recommended."
