St Albans Sea Cadets & Royal Marine Cadets
Age: 10 - 18
We are St Albans Sea Cadets and part of the UK's oldest nautical youth charity.
We are staffed entirely by volunteers.
Our unit consists of the following:
Junior Sea cadets - For those aged 9, 10 and 11
Sea Cadets - For those aged from 12 to 17
Royal Marine Cadets - For those aged 13 to 17
Being part of the Sea Cadets gives opportunities to participate in water sports, such as sailing, rowing, wind surfing, kayaking and more. There are also opportunities for adventure training, in addition to life skills that give you a great head start in life.
Cadets can also take part in Offshore trips, on one of the Sea cadet ships operating around the UK throughout the year.
We also participate in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme. Cadets can also achieve BTEC qualifications through the Vocational College through their various activities.
There are also opportunities to participate in visits to the Royal Navy, to learn more about the role they play.
Come down on a Friday evening from 7.00pm to 9.30pm and have a look round, try out the evening to see if you like it. Boys & girls welcome.
