Grebe House Wildlife Garden
Tucked away on the edge of Verulamium Park, Grebe House Wildlife Garden is a little haven for nature and wildlife, managed by Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.
The garden offers families an opportunity to discover how even small outdoor spaces can provide valuable habitats for birds, insects and other wildlife. Explore the garden, look out for its wildlife-friendly features, including a pond, and meet Willoughby, the giant willow-woven hedgehog!
It's a beautiful place to introduce children to nature, encourage wildlife spotting and find inspiration for making your own garden more wildlife-friendly.
The Trust also occasionally organises wildlife-themed activities and family events at Grebe House.
Visiting information: The garden is usually open on weekdays, 9am–4.30pm, although opening times may vary. Visitors are advised to contact the Trust before travelling.
