St Peter's Chuch
St Peter's Church is a historic and welcoming church close to St Albans city centre. People are believed to have worshipped on the site for more than 1,000 years, with the original church traditionally dated to AD 948. Visitors can explore its history through a self-guided QR-code tour and discover features including beautiful stained-glass windows, a rose window and the impressive Mander pipe organ.
Outside, the peaceful Living Churchyard provides a green space for a gentle walk or quiet reflection, with a wildflower meadow, heritage apple orchard, Garden of Hope and areas that encourage wildlife. Families are warmly welcomed, with regular family-friendly services, children's activities and special events held throughout the year.
Please check the St Peter's Church website for current opening arrangements, services and events before visiting
