Roman City Walls
Explore the remains of the walls that once protected Verulamium, one of Roman Britain's largest towns. Built in the late third century, the walls originally stretched for around two miles.
The surviving sections can be discovered on a walk through Verulamium Park, making this a free and easy way for families to explore local Roman history. Combine your visit with the nearby Roman Theatre, Verulamium Museum or the Hypocaust to learn even more about life in ancient Verulamium.
