Education & childcare

St Columba's College is an independent, co-educational day school set in the heart of St Albans, welcoming pupils aged 4–18. We are a community where every young person is known, valued and treasured and where education is inspired by our motto: heart speaks to heart.

We know if no two students are the same, then neither are their successes. Education at St Columba's College is not about fitting our young people into a mould – but rather about creating a new shape around each one of them and then celebrating what they become...in our case, Columbans. And what does this mean? It means that we recognise that they each succeed uniquely; that we demand excellence from them but exclusively in relation to their personal journeys; that they are deeply known by this community so we value and treasure the people they become: successful, resilient and kind – the result of true holistic education. Our academic results speak for themselves, but we believe true success goes far beyond grades.

We are immensely proud of our school and it's community and warmly invite you to visit, so that you can experience for yourself the outstanding education and strong sense of belonging that make St Columba's College so special.
