Loreto College is an 11-18 Comprehensive Academy located near the centre of St Albans.
It is a Catholic faith school, having been founded by the Loreto Sisters in 1922.
The College has 926 pupils on roll: there are five forms of girls in years 7-11, and 153 girls & boys in the Sixth Form.
In October 2024, the College received a full inspection by Ofsted and was rated outstanding in the four key areas: leadership and management; quality of education; behaviour and attitudes ; personal development. The is the fourth outstanding rating in succession.
