Shaw's Corner
Step into the world of renowned playwright George Bernard Shaw at Shaw's Corner, his much-loved Edwardian home in the picturesque village of Ayot St Lawrence. Now cared for by the National Trust, the house remains much as Shaw left it, with personal belongings, books and fascinating reminders of his life and work.
Explore the peaceful garden and discover Shaw's famous rotating writing hut, which could be turned to follow the sunlight throughout the day. Families can also enjoy seasonal children's trails and outdoor games in the enclosed garden, making this an interesting and relaxed day out for different generations.
Opening times and family activities vary, so please check the National Trust website before travelling. Advance booking may be recommended.
