Singing Mamas St. Albans
*SING for YOUR WELLBEING with SINGING MAMAS*
A brand new and first ever Singing Mamas group is coming to St. Albans, starting Monday 22nd June at St. Paul's Church, Blandford Road. Led by Singing Mamas Community Leader, Siew-Lee.
Singing Mamas is a community singing group for all women, where mothers can bring their babies, toddlers or young children. It's a safe and supportive weekly circle where you'll learn simple harmony songs by ear that you can take home and sing to your little one(s).
Unlike most other baby/toddler classes, ours focuses on YOU, the mother, your wellbeing and your joy, because you need to nourish yourself before you can nourish your child.
Singing together with other people does something that's hard to explain until you've felt it. It lifts the room. It settles babies. It reminds you that you're not doing this alone. It's also clinically proven to reduce symptoms of postnatal depression faster than the usual forms of treatment.
There's no auditions. No spotlights. Just singing, solace and connection, then a well-deserved cup of tea and a piece of cake afterwards.
We encourage you to to show up to our group exactly as you are - tired, overwhelmed, content, anxious, energised, exhausted, just surviving, thriving, this close to losing it - all versions of you are welcome.
Do something for you, Mama. You deserve it. 🧡
HALF PRICE TASTER SESSIONS AVAILABLE. Pre-booking essential.
