Dog lovers are in for a treat this September as Romford BID, in partnership with Scruffy's Angels, brings a fun-filled Community Dog Show to Romford Market Place, celebrating our four-legged friends and the local community.

Taking place on Saturday 19th September, the event will run from 10am to 4pm outside Tollgate House and promises plenty of entertainment for dogs, owners and families alike.

Whether your canine companion is a playful puppy, a distinguished senior, a rescue success story or simply has the most gorgeous eyes in town, there is a competition category for every pooch. Registration opens from 10am until 11am, with judging taking place between 11.30am and 2.30pm.

Dogs will compete for prizes, rosettes and the prestigious Best in Show title, while helping to raise funds for Scruffy's Angels, a local organisation dedicated to reuniting lost dogs with their owners and supporting the rehoming of dogs in need.

Visitors can enter their dogs into a variety of categories including:

Best Rescue/Rehome
Prettiest Princess

Entry costs just £1.50 per category, with all proceeds going directly to support the work of Scruffy's Angels.

Visit the Pup Up Café

Alongside the dog show in Romford Market Place, visitors can enjoy the return of the much-loved Pup Up Café which will be open from 10am to 4pm.

Designed as a welcoming space for dogs to socialise and play, the café area will feature:

Free puppuccinos and dog treats
Toys, tunnels and ball pits
Taster agility course challenges
Themed photo opportunities with cosy dog sofas
A hydration station
Local dog-related businesses and exhibitors
Families are also invited to enjoy free dog-themed face painting between 11am and 3pm, making it a fantastic day out for children and animal lovers of all ages.

The Community Dog Show is a wonderful opportunity to support a local charity, meet fellow dog owners and enjoy a lively atmosphere in the heart of Romford town centre. Whether you're entering your dog into the competition or simply coming along to watch the action, everyone is welcome.
