This December, we invite you to join us for our winter light celebration set against the backdrop of the beautiful gardens at Stockwood Discovery Centre.

This year we are doubling the light train from 500 metres to almost one kilometre, with over 20 light installations, making this the biggest light trail in Bedfordshire!

Discover Stockwood like you've never seen it before, as you weave your way on a self-guided tour through the illuminated pathways, set against the backdrop of the lush greenery. We have interactive light installations, shimmering disks reflecting the sky, bouncing colours, colourful animations and sparkly mirrors.

For 2025 we're also introducing 13 new light creations inspired by fairy tales, fast reaction games , water and ice.... Read more

He'll be popping up in town centrse, streets and supermarkets across Luton from December. If you see his cheery faces and signature sparkled, come say hello, snap a selfie and share the love.

A feel-good festive 5k for all the family
Get that Christmas feeling by joining hundreds of Santas running around the The Embankment in Bedford. Run, walk or jog with all the family - you can even bring the dog!

Santa suits are provided and you can celebrate at the end with a medal and a mince pie. Come and join in the fun and help Keech continue to provide our specialist care for our patients, and their families.

Please note, guests with additional needs are welcome to attend on any date and time, however our dedicated SEN sessions are set aside for families with children with additional needs, where extra provisions will be in place.

The Doorstep Elves are bringing their sell out show back to Hitchin this Christmas. This December, we invite you to join us for our winter light celebration set against the backdrop of the beautiful gardens at Stockwood Discovery Centre.

This year we are doubling the light train from 500 metres to almost one kilometre, with over 20 light installations, making this the biggest light trail in Bedfordshire!

Discover Stockwood like you've never seen it before, as you weave your way on a self-guided tour through the illuminated pathways, set against the backdrop of the lush greenery. We have interactive light installations, shimmering disks reflecting the sky, bouncing colours, colourful animations and sparkly mirrors.

For 2025 we're also introducing 13 new light creations inspired by fairy tales, fast reaction games , water and ice.... Read more

This December, we invite you to join us for our winter light celebration set against the backdrop of the beautiful gardens at Stockwood Discovery Centre.

This year we are doubling the light train from 500 metres to almost one kilometre, with over 20 light installations, making this the biggest light trail in Bedfordshire!

Discover Stockwood like you've never seen it before, as you weave your way on a self-guided tour through the illuminated pathways, set against the backdrop of the lush greenery. We have interactive light installations, shimmering disks reflecting the sky, bouncing colours, colourful animations and sparkly mirrors.

For 2025 we're also introducing 13 new light creations inspired by fairy tales, fast reaction games , water and ice.... Read more

Smiley Sam is back and he's got the biggest smile (and heart!) this side of the North Pole.

This Christmas, our jolliest festive friend is touring local high streets to spread joy, raise smiles and help wrap families in care. Expect laughter, hugs and a sprinkle of Christmas magic - all for an incredible cause.

Where can I find Smiley Sam?

He'll be popping up in town centrse, streets and supermarkets across Luton from December. If you see his cheery faces and signature sparkled, come say hello, snap a selfie and share the love.

The Youth Rangers is a monthly programme for 12-17yr olds, which enables those taking part to explore various nature reserves and green spaces, to learn new skills and make new friends.

December Youth Rangers Meet-Up: Orchard Care & Festive Treats

Join us for our December session at Stockingstone Meadow in Luton, where we will be helping to care for the community orchard. Since it's our last meet-up before Christmas, we'll also enjoy some festive treats together!

Guided by staff from the Wildlife Trust, we will inspect the apple trees, do some light mulching and weeding, and undertake some pruning. Your work will help keep this orchard healthy, ensuring it produces plenty of fruit for local communities to enjoy in the years ahead.
