Join Youth Rangers (aged 12-18) to undertake chalk stream conservation work and explore this green space!

During this Youth Ranger session, for anyone living in Luton or Bedfordshire who is aged 12-18yrs old, we will be helping to improve one of the River Lea's tributary's, Lewsey Brook. We will be removing the invasive species Himalayan Balsam and clearing any blockages in this brook. There will also be a chance to explore the meadow areas of this green space, and some rarer floral species found here.

Youth Fest, now in its fourth year, is a free, inclusive event that highlights the services and events available for children and young people in Luton.

It includes various activities such as sports, crafts, games, and interactive VR experiences to keep you entertained and help you find out more about what's on offer.

We will be lucky enough to have local young musicians perform throughout the afternoon, so look out for more information as it comes!

The event will be around Wardown Park Bandstand, on 24th July, from 12-4pm.

Well, at only £5 per adult and £2 per child (with under 2's and carers FREE!) with lots of outdoor garden fun, a chance to pick something up from the Walled Garden Shop and the opportunity to picnic in the garden or lunch at the Woodyard Café; all the ingredients for a fantastic summer morning for the whole family! A large walk-in labyrinth of colour and light will fill the lawn at Stockwood Discovery Centre this August. Visitors are invited to don a primary-coloured cloak to become part of the colour experience and step into a new world of intense colour and light.
You can freely walk anywhere to explore this amazing space and will discover musicians and dancers anywhere inside leading you on a journey of all the senses. The musicians may be found in a large Silver Dome playing unusual instruments - maybe Tibetan Singing bowls or Asian instruments or instruments of water, maybe playing the branch of a tree or a bicycle wheel with a violin bow! And the dancers express the music with creative movement that draws you into the experience.

They argue about everything: Who's the loudest, who's the fastest, who's the smartest, who's Mum's favourite, and who gets the most Christmas presents?! So when they wake up lost and confused in the heart of the enchanted forest one day, it's no surprise they even disagree about how they came to be there! But with only a trail of breadcrumbs to guide them home, they'll have to put aside their differences once and for all to solve the mystery of how they got there and make it home in time for tea!
