Join us this summer at the Luton Rotary Bandstand for a fantastic series of free live music events on selected Sunday afternoons.

People are invited to bring a picnic down to Wardown Park where they can enjoy a variety of music from traditional brass and jazz to rock and soul, as well as special performances to celebrate VE and VJ Day.

Summer 2025 Bandstand programme (selected Sundays throughout the summer):

22 June, 3 to 5pm: 'Victory in Europe' Programme with Luton Brass Band and vintage vocalist Fiona Harrison performing popular songs from the era (special VE Day celebration)

27 July, 2 to 6pm: Soul and Reggae with The Pete Honegan Band

17 August, 2 to 7pm: Jazz on a Summer's day with Rob Mach and Friends, including Lindy Hoppers Dancers (special VJ Day celebration)

7 September, 2 to 6pm: Gospel in the Park with Luton Gospel Community Choir

The programme of events is being sponsored by Luton Rising, a subsidiary of the council that owns Luton Airport and other commercial assets, focused on generating social value for the community. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund has offered additional funding.

There are also other activities available such as adventure golf and peddle boat sessions on Wardown Park Lake, which are bookable for a cost.
