SUBSCRIPTION MEMBERSHIP
Subscribers work together to grow organic food on our site at Hammonds End Farm, on the edge of Harpenden, and at our site at the CDA garden on Hixberry Lane, St Albans. Our main working parties are on Wednesday afternoons (harvest day!) and Saturday afternoons, though members are also free to work at any time of day on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Space is limited, currently to 35 members, but we have space for 2026.
Members pay an annual fee and commit to a certain number of hours work on the farm, and our weekly harvests are shared equally between all members. We have two different types of membership available to suit different lifestyles.
INCREDIBLE EDIBLE
Our 'Incredible Edible' gardens are open to all, with free food to pick and take home!
Anyone who lives, works or plays in St Albans is welcome to be a part of them, and we hope that they'll
- bring local people together
- help us to share and teach growing skills
- help pollinators and other wildlife
- enhance the city centre
- provide free food!
COME AND GROW!
Please come and help us plant and maintain our Incredible Edible community gardens at our monthly sessions! Drop in for a little while, or stay all session.
No previous experience is required - we can teach you all you need to know, and if you have any questions always ask.
Please bring your own gardening gloves if you have them, but we have a few pairs in case you don't.
