Herts Young Mariners Base outdoor centre, known as HYMB, has been delivering high quality outdoor education sessions to adults and young people for over 60 years.

We have a range of courses and fun sessions running during all holidays of varying ability as well as a holiday club running daily.

Junior Holiday Club ages 10-16
There are 3 fun sessions per day run over school half term.
These are the activities we run over the week:
Paddleboarding, Kayaking, Canoeing, Raft building, Sailing, Bell boating, Climbing, Caving, Bushcraft, Adventure Games, Fencing, and Archery.

Junior Half Day Bush Craft ages 10-16
This activity teaches young people some basic survival skills such as using a knife safely to split and whittle wood, how to build things like rafts and shelters and how to build and light fires. You can even bring your own marshmallows to toast on the fire.
