Summer Reading Challenge

Friday 17 July to Saturday 5 September

This Summer, give your child the chance to fall in love with reading! The Summer Reading Challenge is a FREE, fun packed way to keep kids reading and learning all summer long.

The Challenge:

Children are invited to read six or more library books during the school holidays.

Children will be awarded a medal and certificate for reading 6 books.

Children can borrow books from their local library or download e-books, audiobooks on BorrowBox or comics and magazines on Pressreader.

Children must be members of Central Bedfordshire Libraries to join the challenge. You can join online or when you visit to sign up for the challenge.

Families can sign up for the challenge at any time during the school holidays.

Children who complete the challenge (read 6 books) will be entered into a lucky dip at their library for the chance to win a £40 voucher for The Works to buy arts, crafts and books.
