Get ready for mud!! Off-road bike racing fun for young novice riders!
Held on the grass banking surrounding our velodrome at Gosling Sports Park, we host two rounds of the longstanding Muddy Monsters Series, an introduction to racing for youth novices. No prior racing experience required!
Muddy Monsters is a fun way for young riders to experience off-road racing in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Each rider in each age category gets 3 races: The Sprint & Endurance races which count towards the results. The final Handicap race of the day is non-counting and is for all out fun! Race categories according to age are U6, U8, U10, U12 and U14. Prizes are awarded at the end of all the races so please hang around to cheer those on the podium.... Read more

The sessions run will for 50 minutes starting at 5pm and 6pm, and is suitable for 5-14 year olds!

Join poet Simon Mole and musician Gecko for a family show full of poems, raps and songs all about your favourite bugs (and some you haven't heard of yet!).
A fun & interactive invitation to explore the secret world beneath our feet. As well as being brilliantly beautiful, delightfully disgusting and wonderfully weird, the show is an inspirational call to action to appreciate the smaller creatures in our world. Expect Minibeasts and Massive Beats. Every tune is an earworm - even the ones about woodlice!

Ruby tries and tries to get rid of her worry, which grows bigger and bigger! Eventually she meets a boy who has a worry too. Together they discover that everyone has worries, and that if you talk about them, they never hang around for long!
Told through live music, song, puppetry and physical theatre, Ruby's Worry takes the audience on a delightful musical adventure.
Based on the book Ruby's Worry, written and illustrated by Tom Percival and published by Bloomsbury. The show is ideal for children aged 3 - 7 years and their families/schools.

Inspired by Wardown's Hat and Headwear collection, join us this holiday period in one of our two Easter Crown making sessions. Choose from a wide range of craft materials to create your own unique crown and parade it round the museum whilst you explore all the hats on display.
No need to book, just drop in. These sessions are free, however a suggested donation of £2 to support material costs can be made on the day via card.

Gaby's journey into these parallel universes is one of survival and enlightenment in this
contemporary reimagining of Gulliver's Travels by Indigo Moon Theatre.
