Biggleswade library is inviting children to explore the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge, Story Garden: Adventures in Nature and the Great Outdoors. It launches on Friday 18th July and runs through to Saturday 6th September.
This year's theme celebrates the magic of storytelling and the natural world, brought to life with illustrations by award-winning artist Dapo Adeola. Children can collect free activity packs, join nature-themed events, and borrow specially selected books to keep them reading and exploring all summer long.
How does it work?
Sign up at the library and collect your Story Garden sticker booklet and stamp card - then choose your books and take them home to read. Don't forget to bring your library card with you. You can borrow any library books, read our e-books, or listen to our audiobooks.
When you return your books to the library, you will collect stamps on your stamp card and stickers for your poster. There are six stickers to collect, as well as other prizes along the way!
- Read three books and collect your free seed packet.
- Read six books in total and you will be awarded your Story Garden pop badge, certificate and medal!
- Complete the challenge and you will be entered into a lucky dip at your local library, to win a £50 voucher to The Works, to buy arts, crafts and books.
- There is also a Treasure Hunt for when you complete the reading challenge, and there is a chance to win a book token.
Don't stop there though! Collect another stamp card and keep reading!
