It may be the summer holidays but in reality, the majority of parents still have to work! We get it, which is why we've pulled together a list of all the evening and weekend events you can still enjoy with the kids.

Animal Feeding at The Green Barn Farm shop - The Green Barn farm shop are holding animal feeding sessions every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Just spend £5 in the farm shop and you are welcome to join the activities.
Grumpy's Diner - Magic with Michael Warlock - Fun for all ages from 5-8pm!
ATF Summer evenings at The Hive - Lots of activities, den building, toasting marshmallows, games and fun! 4-6pm every Monday evening.
Lego club - Leigh Lego club have a Youth Market and Lego Cafe taking place on Saturday 1st August.
Destination Lakeside - Open everyday until late! Perfect for an after school trip or a full day at the weekend. A free beach and splash park area as well as lots of funfair rides.
Essex fire museum are holding 2 open days, two of which are on Sundays - 26th July and 30th August.
Feel Good Festival is taking place on Saturday 8th August. - A free events with lots to do for all ages
Southend Pier puppet festival - Taking place from Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd August until 6.30pm
Kite Festival - Taking place on Saturday 26th July until 5pm
Bugs and butterflies trail at Hadleigh park - All weekend and the park is open until late. Just download a trail map or pop into the cafe.
Family Summer discos - The Palace Theatre are holding free family discos every Saturday evening from 7pm.
Classic cars on the beach - Pop down to Southend Highstreet to see all the classic cars. Taking place on Sunday 26th July and Sunday 23rd August

Southend Arcades - Open late
King Pins - Open late
Rollacity - Times vary but can close anywhere between 6pm - 11.00pm
Southend Pier - Closes at 8pm
